Mount Kailash is one of the Asia’s most sacred mountain which is situated in the middle of six mountain ranges representing the perfect structure of Lotus. Popularly known for its spiritual values, Mount Kailash receives thousands of pilgrims, mostly Buddhist, Jain and Hindu followers, from all around the world. Mount Kailash is believed to be the home of the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva. For Jain followers, Mt. Kailash is the place where the first Jain Tirthankara, Rishabhadeva attained deliverance from rebirth. The region holds a very special religious significance which compels tourists to visit this holy place at least once in their lifetime. Hence, Kailash Inner Kora Trek is particularly designed to touch every spiritual, natural and cultural aspect of this region. However, the trek is strenuous and contains physically challenging climb up the Kora (Parikarma) for the devotees. The rugged terrain and a sudden climatic variation and increase in altitude are what makes this trekking hard.
The Kailash Inner Kora comprises of a 34 km journey on the foothill of the Holy Mountain, Mt. Kailash, which is at an elevation of 19,000 feet above the sea. The trekkers get an exceptional opportunity to witness the majestic beauty of the sacred Mt. Kailash along with a splendid view of the pristine turquoise colored Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshyastaal. As the region is a holy site for the devotees, we pass through many monasteries that display the unconditional faith and belief of the Buddhists towards their culture. The trail to the Mount Kailash Inner Kora is made up of different types of rocks, crevices and is covered with snow which spreads magical aura in the environment. Completing the 13 outer Koras (53km Parikarma of holy mount Kailash), is believed to erase all the sins committed by a person in their life, and it is one of the main reasons why people show a strong devotion while climbing the mountain. The mystical charisma and enchanting experience of the region have been able to catch a lot of attention worldwide.
