Trip Overview

Gasherbrum I  8080 m. is the 1 1 th highest peak in the world. The Mountain lies in the second-highest massif Karakoram Range. Gasherbrum I is also famous for hidden peak and K5 . In total, there are six Gasherbrum Peaks. At a n elevation of 8 0 6 8 m (2 6 4 6 9 ft), it neighbors Baltoro Glacier.

Mount Gusher rum is bordered by India, Afghanistan, China, Tajikistan, and Pakistan. Four of the world’s fourteen highest mountains are located within the Karakoram Range: Ga Sherburn I and II, K2, and Broad Peak. It lies thousands of miles away from Nepal’s Himalayan Mountain Range.

Gasherbrum is the name that came from Balti words rgasha, which represents beautiful B rum Mountain. In 1 8 9 2, William Martin Conway named the peak in reference to its remoteness.

 

Gasherbrum I is the highest peak among all of the Karakoram peaks. It falls under the Central Karakoram National Park (C KNP).

In 1958 , the first ascent of Gasherbrum I was successfully completed b y the team o f a n American Expedition Nick Clinch. Pete Scho en in g and Andy Kaufman were the first people to reach the summit. Baltoro Glacier and Southern Gasherbrum Glacier are the main attractions of this region.

Gasherbrum I is one of the least popular peaks among 8 000-meter mountains. It is in the tenth position o n the ascent list for 8 0 0 0 meters. Less than 2 0 0 ascents were attempted. Only experienced mountaineers have tried to summit the peak a s it’s difficult. It is the peak with the least deaths. The easiest and most common way to climb this peak is the western side. Attacking the western side of the route leads to “The Japanese Couloir.” It is lo ca ted on top of the North-west face.

The normal season to ascend Gasherbrum I is June to September. This season gifts trekkers with some marvelous untouched Natural beauties. Snow-capped peaks, green woodland, and blue skies are the ecstatic views.
