Trip Overview

Mt Chamlang 7319m Expedition  one of the most beautiful mountains of Makalu region stands at a height of 7319m above the sea level. This is a steep forward mountain and demands a good physical stamina to complete this trek. This attractive mountain located in eastern Nepal is just 10kms away from Mt. Makalu.

The first successful ascent to this mountain was made on 31st May 1962 which was led by the Japanese expedition team member – Son Anma. This challenging trek requires technical climbing with previous climbing experience because we have to cross two of the famous and difficult passes (Zatrawala Pass and Mera la Pass) in the trail. You will get an opportunity to view the magnificent mountain ranges along with the opportunity to explore the hidden beauties of the Himalaya region.

Chamlang Himal Expedition offers the best panoramic views of snowcapped mountain ranges including some of the highest mountain ranges of the world such as Everest, Annapurna, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Pumori and other many beautiful ranges. You will also be exploring the unique lifestyle and culture of people living in this region. Crossing the two famous passes Zatrawala Pass and Mera La pass is also a major attraction of this trek.

Chamlang Himal Expedition starts with a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We will start our trek and pass Chhutanga to cross the famous Zatrawala pass which is located at a height of 4600m. Crossing this pass will take us to Tuli Kharka and then we will head to Thangnak and then to Khare. We will then start our challenging climb to reach the summit of Chamlang Himal which rewards the visitors with the spectacular views of mountain ranges. We will then cross another famous pass Mera La pass which is located at a height of 5400m. We will then arrive at the Chamlang Low base camp and then head towards the Chamlang Basecamp from where we will return to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu to end our trip.
