Trip Overview

The Makalu to Everest 3 pass Traverses with ADVENTURE BEYOND THE LIMIT PVT. LTD. includes some of the worlds highest and challenging trail in the Great Himalaya trails. In this section, you cross the three major high pass two of them over 6000 meters while traversing the mountain ranges which is between Mt Makalu 8463 m and Mt Everest 8850 m. Mt Makalu is a rarely visited gem sandwiched between the highest Everest and Mt Kanchenjunga massif. Mt Makalu 8463 m is considered one of the toughest 8000m mountains to climb even Sir Edmund Hillary failed to attempt twice. The wilderness around it is just waiting to be explored by the intrepid trekker prepared to forgo the comforts of the traditional tea house trek.

For the most experienced trekker, the pristine river villages of the Arun and the Barun with views of the Everest and Lhotse offered hard-won rewards. The trekking path to Makalu base camp from South is considered one of the tougher route in Nepal and you are more likely to have the company of birds than the fellow trekkers. The Lush Makalu Barun region is one of the largest protected National parks in Nepal. It shelters 3000 species of flowering plants including countless varieties of Himalayan Orchid 440 species of birds 75 species of mammals. Rare species such as the musk deer Red panda leopard and the Asian golden cat testify the incredible biodiversity trekker will encounter in the verdant villages.ADVENTURE BEYOND THE LIMIT organize the great Himalaya trail every season.

1.  Arrive in Kathmandu and free day in Kathmandu.
2. Early morning domestic flight to Tumlingtar.  and overnight at the lodge.
3. Drive to Num.
4. Trek to Sheduwa.
5. Trek to Tshi Gau 2100m.
6. Trek to Kongma dingma 3500m.
7. Rest & acclimatization.
8. Trek to Dobate 3600m vis Shipton la 4125m.
9. Trek to Yangle kharka 3557m.
10. Trek to Langmale kharka 4410m.
11. Trek to Lower Makalu base camp 4870m.
12. Trek to Swiss base camp 5150m.
13. Trek to Sherpani col basecamp 5688m.
14. Sherpani col pass, west col pass and Baruntse Basecamp 5300.
15. Trek to Hamphu lapcha basecamp.
16. Trek to Hamphu lapcha pass and Chhukung 4730m.
17. Trek to Lobuche 4910m.
18. Trek to Everest base camp and back to Lobuche.
19. Trek to Pangboche.
20. Trek to Namche.
21. Trek to Lukla.
22. Early morning flight to Kathmandu.
