Trip Overview

Great Himalayan trek is an adventurous network of various famous trekking routes of our country. This trekking trail covers all the famous and less popular trekking routes including the Everest Base Camp to the Annapurna Base Camp. One can get an opportunity to trek on the many famous trekking routes of the country including Manaslu, Humla, Annapurna, Rara, Dolpa, Mustang, and other many famous trekking routes. If you are planning to trek on the famous Himalayan ranges of the country along with an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of people living in the Himalayas, then the Higher Great Himalayan trail is the ideal option for you.

The Lower Great Himalayan trail also called the cultural trail passes through the country’s mid-hills with an average of 2000m. Although you will be trekking at the lower altitude you will also get an opportunity to cross some of the famous passes with the highest pass of the trek, Jang La which is located at an altitude of 4519m. Trekking along the lower route means trekking with the sightseeing of lush green grasslands, passing many ancient villages, green rice terraces, etc. This trekking route takes almost 90-100 days and is 1500 km long. One can get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of Himalayan ranges along with the opportunity to explore a wide variety of flora and fauna found in the Himalayan region.

Lower Great Himalayan trail starts with a scenic flight to Bhadrapur and then we will trek along many villages such as Tharpu, Phalut, etc. and reach Thulo Phedi. We will then trek along the famous trekking routes and reach Lukla. This adventurous trek starts from Kathmandu and ends at Dhangadhi.
