Trip Overview

Mt Chulu East 6584 m climbing: with ADVENTURE BEYOND THE LIMIT.
Chulu East 6584m is situated high above the Manang valley with breathtaking views across to Mt Annapurna (II, III, and IV Mt Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Tilicho and Mt Manaslu. The climb is combined with the classic trek around the Annapurna massif, ascending the Masryangdi valley and crossing the Throng La Pass, before descending the Kali Gandaki valley to Pokhara. The climb is technically straightforward, and you should be familiar with the use of your climbing equipment. Most of the climbing will involve walking roped together, including the glacial crossing. You should be physically fit and have good climbing experience.
The North-east Ridge is considered the normal route to climb this peak from a Base Camp on the moraine at 5334m. Most climbers make it to the top and back from Base Camp in one long day, although some have, in the past, established a higher camp somewhere below the peak. Another subsidiary peak called Chulu Far East (6059m) may also be attempted from this approach.
Although the approach up the Masryangdi is relatively quick and involves no great altitude gain, the trek takes you through a wonderful variety of landscape and culture, from the subtropical lower reaches of the valley with its terraced fields where Gurung people dominate, to the ethnically as well as socially interesting Managba people of the upper valley, crossing rhododendron and pine forest. After the ascent, our route crosses the Throng La, a 5350m high pass, before dropping to Jomsom downstream on the Kali Gandaki River. We fly back to Kathmandu via Pokhara.

Day 5: Trek to Manang.

Day 6: Trek to Yak Kharka.

Day 7: Trek to Chulu east climbing.

Day 8: Trek to High camp.

Day 9: preparation of climbing.

Day 10:  Climb to advance base camp.

Day 11: Chulu east summit and back to advance camp.

Day 12 Trek to Thring Phedi.

Day 13: Trek to Muktinath.

Day 14: Trek to Jomsom.

Day 15: Jomsom to Pokhara flight.

Day 16: Pokhara to Kathmandu flight transfer to the hotel and free day.

Day 17: International flight.
